The Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office has decided to question Henrikas Daktaras, an individual currently serving a life sentence in Pravieniškės, as a special witness regarding his alleged criminal conduct. During discussions regarding the testimony, M. Danielius provided an account of his relationship with Henrikas Daktaras.
Danielius stated that he maintained a positive connection with him, recalling instances where Henrikas would bake a specific recipe cake for his mother, Yadvigas Daktarien. Danielius further recounted an instance where he claimed Daktaras attempted to dissuade him from providing a statement. According to Danielius, this attempt was reportedly linked to a request made by Henrikas’s son, Enriko, whose friend was identified as R.
Agrba. Danielius alleged that Daktaras offered to resolve the matter favorably. The legal proceedings surrounding this testimony are separate from another recent case involving a man from Vilnius.
This individual was convicted of spying on Belarus, resulting in a nine-year prison sentence. That man has since denied the charges and plans to appeal the court’s decision. The focus on the testimony of Daktaras highlights the complexity of evidence gathering in ongoing investigations.
