“Maxima” permanently closes the store in Vilnius: the reason explained

The single store located at 58 Minties str. in Vilnius will cease operations permanently on Sunday, August 9th. The decision to close this location permanently stems from a sustained decline in customer traffic.

Management reports that the majority of patrons now prefer shopping at the two existing maxima outlets situated on Tuskulėnų street, which are located approximately 350 meters from the Minties Street site. Following a thorough evaluation of the capital required for renovation and the prevailing customer flow patterns, the company has determined that resources are better allocated toward the renewal and expansion of other facilities within its network. Operational adjustments will affect staffing across the network.

While one employee has opted to remain with the company, most staff members from the Tuskulėnų street location will be transferred to other operational store sites. Furthermore, customers are encouraged to take advantage of special sales discounts offered on the final working day at the Minties Street location. E.

Vareikytė confirmed the strategic shift, noting that the Tuskulėnų street store will also be closing down in its current format. These changes reflect a strategic realignment of the retail network to better serve customer demand and optimize investment across the brand’s physical presence.
