New details of the three-person death-trap accident are emerging – the girl would have celebrated her birthday this month

On August 4th, an incident occurred in Gaukštonių village within the Vilnius district. According to reports, a car, operated by a woman born in 1975, deviated from its lane and subsequently collided with a MAN truck. The truck was being driven by a man born in 1957.

Immediately following the impact, bystanders intervened, successfully removing two passengers from the light vehicle—a woman and a girl. Both individuals were transported to the hospital, where emergency medical personnel later assumed responsibility for their care. Meanwhile, the driver of the car became trapped within the wreckage.

Witnesses reported that the driver was in an unrecognizable condition. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene. Firefighters were able to free the trapped driver, but medical professionals subsequently confirmed her death.

The initial efforts successfully saved the lives of the two passengers, including the young girl. Shortly after the initial collision, further activity was reported at 15:05. The collision highlighted the severity of the accident, involving multiple vehicles and resulting in significant casualties.
