The study: more modern, bigger and more expensive housing in the plans of Vilnius residents

Rising real estate costs are naturally increasing the budgets allocated and planned for by residents purchasing homes. However, a recent study indicates that these rising prices are accompanied by an improvement in the financial capabilities and elevated expectations among residents regarding their future home purchases. The data suggests a trend toward acquiring new construction, larger residences in desirable locations, and properties valued in excess of 100,000 euros.

According to the study, current allocation plans show significant distribution across higher price points. Specifically, 32% of residents have either purchased or plan to purchase homes valued between €101,000 and €150,000. Furthermore, 31% have already allocated or plan to allocate funds in the €151,000 to €250,000 range.

Smaller allocations are planned by 15% of residents, while 12% have budgeted for properties exceeding €351,000. This data reflects a notable shift when compared to previous periods. Two years ago, the percentage of residents planning to allocate budgets within the €101,000 to €150,000 bracket was higher, standing at 36%.

These figures suggest that residents are not only increasing their budgets due to market conditions but are also showing an appetite for more premium and expansive living standards. The study highlights a clear upward trajectory in both spending capacity and housing ambition among the surveyed population.
