Varaška noted that multiplying the number of affected customers by 2.5 suggests that an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 people currently lack power access. The mayor also reported that several areas within the municipality have been deemed uncleared and potentially dangerous. Consequently, access to certain parks and recreational areas will be restricted until necessary clean-up operations are completed.
Furthermore, Varaška confirmed that the local administration has received multiple requests from residents seeking essential supplies, including water, food, and medicine. The disruption has been significant, with some remote settlements reporting a lack of electricity for a second consecutive day, and restoration efforts continuing in several locations. The recent storm that impacted Lithuania has caused considerable infrastructural damage, resulting in numerous fallen trees and extensive damage to power lines.
