Banys alleged that the official’s subsequent actions led him to conclude that the delay was a tactic designed to elicit a bribe. Separately, the mayor was reported to have expressed satisfaction regarding the integration of war refugees from Ukraine within the Neringa community, noting that the area now includes children born locally. The account details a dispute centered on the processing of critical development documents related to the housing sector.
