The recent storm that impacted the country has resulted in a noticeable surge in consumer demand for backup power solutions, according to Pigu.lt. Nerijus Mikalajūnas, Communications Director at Pigu.lt, noted that the level of demand for generators has not been observed in the e-commerce center for a significant period. The current market favorites among consumers include petrol and inverter generators, with power ratings generally ranging between 2,000W and 3,500W, alongside electric generators offering a 2,000W capacity.
Specific high-demand models identified include the petrol generators “Boxer BX7003” (3,500W) and “Hecht GG 2500” (2,000W), and the inverter generator “Kraft&Dele KD3237” rated at 3,000W. In terms of consumer spending, prices for various generators currently range from 120 to 1,700 euros, with the average customer expenditure settling around 350 euros. This increased purchasing activity highlights the widespread effect of the recent storm on residential and operational continuity.
The robust sales figures underscore the immediate need for reliable power sources following the adverse weather event.
