Bolt Drive has announced temporary restrictions on its ride-hailing service for the night of the Lithuanian Independence Day, citing safety as its primary concern. According to Svajūnas Aliukonis, head of Bolt Drive in Lithuania, this measure is a long-standing preventive protocol designed to promote responsible celebration among the public. The company strongly advises patrons to plan their travel arrangements well in advance.
For the festive night, users are encouraged to utilize alternative transportation methods, such as public transit or carpooling, to ensure safety. The restriction on new bookings will be active from 00:00 on June 24th until 06:00. During this period, initiating a new rental order through the Bolt app will not be possible.
However, Bolt Drive confirmed that existing customers will remain unaffected. Individuals who have already begun using the car service before the specified time, or those who have secured a long-term rental booking ahead of time, will be able to operate without restriction throughout the night. This precautionary limitation is implemented to maintain road safety standards during large celebratory gatherings.
Users should monitor the Bolt app for real-time updates regarding the resumption of the full service capabilities after the designated hours.
