Furthermore, 168 candidates achieved perfect scores of 100 points, representing 1% of all participants. A total of 17,633 candidates took part in this year’s exam. For comparison, last year’s figures showed that 94.3% of 17,042 students passed the extended (A) course of the Lithuanian language and literature exam, with 132 candidates receiving perfect scores.
Regarding future academic planning, there is discussion concerning the potential cancellation of an additional final exam slated for introduction next year, with some voices suggesting a halt to the current structure for the General (B) course of the Lithuanian language and literature exam.
