Rytis from Obeliuose started a sophisticated business of buttermilk in Vilnius

During a recent presentation, R. Tervydis acknowledged the significant contribution of his companion, Rusnė, stating that much of the success is attributable to her professional expertise and skill as a food creator. He highlighted that based on her extensive experience in many restaurants, she developed several successful menu concepts.

When asked why he credits her first, he explained that she was the one who initially developed the recipes for their signature sandwiches, or “butterbrods.”

Despite this public acknowledgment, the conversation revealed that the concept of opening a small sandwich bar had been a shared aspiration for both individuals for several years, although the actual planning had become more concrete over the last few months. The young entrepreneur laughed, noting that the small “Sandwitch” sandwich bar, situated in Vilnius near Rotušės (Etmonų g. 2), has successfully opened its doors.

The establishment focuses on crafting sandwiches, a venture that, while seemingly simple, represents a significant local business undertaking. The narrative underscores the collaborative nature of the business venture, even as one partner takes the public credit for the initial creative impetus. The bar’s opening marks the realization of a long-held joint goal, establishing a new local spot for quick, crafted meals.
