During the rescue, a dangerous return current was noted, which reportedly pulled swimmers toward deeper sections of the water. The situation escalated when an additional 17-year-old was reported missing, prompting intensive searches by both lifeguards and tourists. During the rescue attempts, a man and a 46-year-old woman were found struggling in the sea.
Although lifeguards were able to successfully pull both individuals from the water, resuscitation efforts for the man proved unsuccessful. However, the woman was rescued safely. The challenging conditions made the rescue efforts difficult, requiring the immediate intervention of the lifeguards to manage the situation against the force of the rough sea.
