The biggest Baltic e-commerce event is changing: the market no longer needs another conference about theory

The annual “EcomExpo” was organized this year by APG Media, a digital marketing agency specializing in e-commerce businesses. Aurimas Paulius Girčys, the agency’s head and organizer, stated that the development of the event was driven by observing specific gaps within the current market landscape. The preparations for this year’s event garnered international attention, as the global marketing event platform, Online.Marketing, granted it the status of a recommended listing.

This inclusion enhances the event’s visibility among an international audience and features it within the platform’s conference directory. Girčys noted a shift in the needs of modern e-commerce businesses. He observed that the current information environment is saturated with data, making it challenging for companies to distinguish between general industry hype and actionable strategies.

Consequently, the industry requires fewer broad declarations of global change and more concrete case studies detailing successful or challenging business outcomes. According to A. P.

Girčys, the primary difficulty facing businesses today is not a lack of information, but rather the challenge of effectively synthesizing that information to inform critical business decisions. The expo aims to address this need by providing a focused environment where industry practitioners can engage with tangible, decision-making insights relevant to the e-commerce sector.
