The growth of turnover is not caused by inflation – more and more goods are sold in the shops

Assessing the trajectory of the Lithuanian retail market following the second half of the year has become a key focus for industry observers. Central questions revolve around prevailing consumer trends, particularly within the sector of food retail, and which major players are best positioned for growth. To address these market dynamics, Dainius Dundulis, the chairman of the board for Norfos mažmena—a company operating 159 stores across Lithuania—and the general director of the production and logistics firm Rivona, provided detailed insights.

According to Dundulis’s analysis, the retail landscape suggests a period of robust expansion for certain entities. He specifically noted that in 2025, the turnover for Norfos mažmena is anticipated to surpass the growth rates of the other four major retail chains. The projections indicate that the company’s turnover is set to increase by approximately one-tenth, reaching an estimated 954 million euros.

This forecast suggests strong consumer confidence and sustained demand within the grocery sector, affirming the continued importance of food retail trends in the national economy. The data points towards Norfos mažmena achieving significant market momentum, positioning the company favorably against its competitors. These figures provide stakeholders with a clear outlook on where market capital and consumer spending are expected to flow, suggesting that the underlying strength of the local retail infrastructure remains a primary driver for future economic activity.
