Authorities have reported that approximately 14,000 prohibited events have been officially registered by customers, encompassing both legal and natural persons. According to A. Romanovskis, the cumulative financial loss, calculated as total damage minus ELTA, exceeds 13 million euros.
The assessment indicates that the vast majority of losses—roughly 80%—are concentrated on residential property, while the damages sustained by companies constitute a significantly smaller proportion of the total claim amount. Regarding compensation, Romanovskis noted that the percentage of damages already administered and paid out varies by insurance provider, ranging between 50% and 70%. While the initial surge of claims was substantial, with around 6,000 damages registered in the first week following the storm, the total number rose to nearly 14,000 in the subsequent week.
However, the head of the association cautioned that the rate of new damage reports is beginning to slow. Despite this apparent deceleration, an expert source noted that the overall scope of the issue remains significant, pointing to a notable increase in the volume of reported cases. The data suggests a substantial impact across various sectors, necessitating ongoing monitoring of the claims process and the overall recovery effort.
