The acquisition of a recent certificate marks a significant advancement in bolstering the logistics corridor connecting Germany, Ukraine, and the Baltic states. According to Eglė Šimė, head of LTG Cargo Polska, the primary focus remains on maintaining the quality of the permanent intermodal route running between Duisburg and Kaunas. The new certificate provides LTG Cargo Polska with the capability to manage the entire operational journey, from the initial loading point in Lithuania through to the final unloading in Germany.
This comprehensive control is expected to enhance delivery reliability for the company’s clientele. To support this expanded logistical reach, LTG Cargo Polska has been actively strengthening its operational infrastructure. Previously, the company utilized European Union funds to acquire new pocket wagons specifically for intermodal transport between Kaunas and Duisburg.
The addition of this modern rolling stock directly increases the efficiency and overall dependability of the company’s operations. Furthermore, the company has expanded its geographic scope. In 2024, LTG Cargo also secured carrier licenses in both Latvia and Estonia, thereby broadening the scope of cargo it can transport across the region.
These developments underscore the company’s commitment to improving connectivity across Central and Eastern Europe. The integration of these assets and the management of the full route solidify our position as a reliable partner within the regional supply chain network connecting Lithuania to Germany.
