In the recent period, the vehicle market saw significant activity, with personal (M1) cars accounting for 15,693 units and light commercial (N1) cars registering 887 units. Examining monthly performance, May recorded the highest sales figures for several major manufacturers, including BMW with 2,139 units, Volkswagen with 1,896 units, and Mercedes-Benz with 1,248 units. Among the most popular models sold were BMW vehicles (537 units), the BMW 5 series (489 units), and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (428 units).

In terms of market composition, the average age of used cars registered in Lithuania stands at 10.6 years. The market’s fuel preference remains heavily skewed toward diesel, which accounted for 59.8% of registrations, a slight decrease from the 63.5% recorded in May 2025. Consumer turnover remains high, as 22,246 car owners updated their vehicles in the past month.

This figure represents a 15.0% increase compared to the 19,347 transactions recorded in May 2025. Overall inventory data shows the current stock of personal cars (M1) at 21,617 units, alongside 629 light commercial (N1) units. These statistics highlight consistent demand across various segments of the car market, with the BMW brand remaining a dominant presence among top-selling units.
