An upcoming infrastructure project involves the comprehensive upgrade of a significant section of a key roadway. By the end of the year, the planned improvements encompass over 11 kilometers of road, alongside necessary repairs to traffic safety-critical intersections, bus stops, and the Obel bridge. According to the project report, this specific section of the road is slated to begin at the 23.978 kilometers marker.

The construction will pass directly through the villages of Ramoniškės and Užubaliai before continuing to the 35.618 kilometers point. This endpoint extends beyond the junction connecting with national road No. 149 in Smilgiai–Pakruojis.

The project execution is contracted to the company HISK. The total contract value assigned to this major upgrade is 5.5 million euros, inclusive of VAT. This comprehensive effort aims to enhance the overall safety and usability of the specified road corridor across these several kilometers.

The work focuses on modernizing critical infrastructure elements to improve transit efficiency for the local community.
