These signatories included members of the Homeland Union-Christian Democrats of Lithuania (TS-LKD), the Liberal Alliance, the “For the sake of Lithuania” democratic faction, the “Awakening” faction, and the mixed faction. The overall aims of the parliamentary process are therefore twofold: to assign political responsibility for the handling of leaked data and to ensure that national security risks associated with the data’s potential misuse or transfer are thoroughly investigated. The resulting findings are intended to address systemic accountability gaps concerning sensitive national information.
