Rising oil costs and increased fuel expenses are impacting retail prices across various sectors. To monitor the current state of fuel costs, the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) collects data from the country’s fuel selling companies. As of September 1, information regarding fuel prices was submitted to the LEA by 71 fuel selling companies operating 749 gas stations throughout Lithuania.
Fuel selling companies are required to report the prices of fuel sold at their gas stations every business day by 10 a.m. This daily pricing information is made publicly available on the en.lt website. Due to high turnover, gas station fuel prices can change multiple times throughout the day.
On September 1, the data submitted to the LEA indicated variations in diesel prices across the network. Specifically, the lowest recorded diesel price was observed at the Mažeikiai “Triple” network gas station, listed at 1.950 Eur/l. The highest diesel price was reported elsewhere within the network.
These reported prices reflect the current market rates for various grades of fuel available at Lithuanian gas stations.
