The Lithuanian mountain bike elite is among the initial participants in the upcoming cycling event. The competition will take place in Druskininkai and is expected to feature several prominent athletes. Notable participants include multiple-time Lithuanian champion Eimantas Gudiškis, representing “Colibri Cycling.” Also competing will be European cyclo-cross champion Domas Manikas from “RealBean.eu,” who is in the 35-39 age group, and European youth cyclo-cross champion Jokūbas Dabušinskas, affiliated with “Bernatonio dviračių akademija.”
The men’s elite mountain bike race is scheduled for a distance of 70.5 km, while the women’s race will cover 47 km.
Last season’s MTB marathon overall standings were secured by Šarūnas Pacevičius of “Alta transportas laiko kardaną” and Greta Briedytė from “Alter Ego CC.”
Organizers highlighted the event’s deep roots in Lithuanian cycling. They noted that it is the longest-running event with significant historical experience, stating that there is likely no comparable cycling event in Lithuania with a history spanning 25 years. The event originated in 2002 in Ignalina, establishing a long tradition in the sport.
