The storm in Lithuania has already marked the death – a man was not able to survive after being crushed by a tree in the Anykščiai district(1)

Fire and rescue department officials from the Department of Situations Coordination (SKS) reported on two separate incidents involving falling trees in Lithuania. The first incident occurred in the village of Mažionys, located within the Anykščiai district. Emergency services received the call at 16:06.

Upon arrival, rescue workers discovered a man who was pinned beneath a tree. Although the tree was successfully removed shortly after the call, the man, who was born in 1966, was found to have already passed away. Authorities noted that the incident took place on the waterfront, suggesting the man may have been engaged in fishing activities at the time.

A second, distinct incident took place earlier in the day, at 13:00, in the Ramybės park in Kaunas, near Vytauto prospektas. Here, a falling branch from a tree struck a woman born in 1960. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and confirmed that the victim was conscious.

She was subsequently transported to the hospital, where initial assessments indicated that her injuries were not severe. These reports detail separate emergencies handled by rescue departments, highlighting incidents where natural elements, specifically falling trees or branches, were involved in the incidents.
