The discovery of human remains occurred in the Czech town of Kněžpoter last Wednesday. Authorities reported that a woman’s aunt located what appeared to be a bloody hand, alongside another hand contained within a plastic bag, in the courtyard of her residence. This incident took place in the vicinity of Ohře, approximately 20 kilometers from the German border.
The investigation revealed that the remains were found by the aunt, who reported the items in a plastic bag. Subsequent details concerning the mother suggested she was responsible for the infant’s death. According to reports, the aunt was reportedly unaware that she was expecting a child at the time of the discovery.
Police immediately began searching nearby garbage containers for further evidence. However, the majority of the baby’s body could not be recovered. Local media reported that investigators suspect the remains may have been consumed by dogs.
Following the discovery, the baby’s mother was formally charged with murder and subsequently taken into custody the following day. The police investigation remains active, focusing on the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death and the disposal of the body parts. The presence of the plastic bags and the fragmented nature of the remains have become key points in the ongoing inquiry within the community.
