According to Kitovė, the decision reflects noticeable changes in consumer shopping patterns as the season transitions into autumn. She explained that seasonal fluctuations impact not only visitor volume but also the typical shopping habits of the public.
During the summer months, the chain often extends its operational hours in resorts and areas near lakes to accommodate vacationers who may prefer a leisurely shopping experience without feeling rushed. However, Kitovė noted that this extended schedule is no longer necessary in the autumn. With the conclusion of holiday periods and the shortening of daylight, consumer activity tends to become more localized.
Consequently, shopping trips are increasingly conducted closer to residents’ permanent residences rather than during extended leisure outings. Therefore, “Iki” is adjusting its service model to align with these observed trends. The return to regular working hours signals a shift back to a more routine retail rhythm, matching the day-to-day needs of the local community.
