The “Žalgiris” march in the UEFA tournament returns to TV screens

Žalgiris FC is scheduled to commence its campaign in the UEFA Conference League starting in July. The club has announced that the initial qualifying round match against OFK “Petrovac” will be broadcast live from Vilnius on August 16th via TV3 television and the tv3.lt news portal. Addressing the club’s commitment to its supporters, Žalgirio President Andrius Tapinas highlighted the significance of the tournament’s broadcast coverage.

He stated that participation in the UEFA competition represents not only a major sporting challenge for the team but also a celebration for all football enthusiasts across Lithuania. Tapinas emphasized the importance of accessibility, noting that the agreement with the TV3 media group ensures that the emotional journey of the European campaign can be experienced by fans who may be unable to secure tickets or travel to the stadium in Vilnius. This coverage is intended to allow a wider segment of the local fanbase to follow the action.

The club acknowledged the heightened global interest in football, pointing out that the world is currently immersed in the excitement surrounding the World Cup. Therefore, ensuring that the fans can follow the team’s progress, even if they cannot attend the physical match in Vilnius, is a key priority for the club’s leadership. The broadcast partnership aims to maximize the reach of the team’s efforts across the nation, ensuring that the spectacle of the UEFA tournament remains visible to the broadest possible audience.
