Traffic restrictions will begin in the next week in this street in Vilnius, and some public transport routes will change

Construction work affecting Gedvydžių street has been relocated to the section near the A. Kulviečio classical gymnasium stadium. Upon completion of this phase, the area is expected to feature improved rainwater drainage and a more stable road surface.

Reconstruction of the surface sewage network will continue, though the entire street will not be subject to a complete closure. Following the second stage of construction, current traffic restrictions at the intersection of Gedvydžių and L. Baliukevičiaus-Dzūko streets are scheduled to be lifted.

However, the third stage of construction will necessitate passing through the active zone. During this period, access to specific residences will be managed via alternative routes. Specifically, homes at Gedvydžių street 22, 24, 27, and 31 will remain accessible from the L.

Baliukevičiaus-Dzūko street side. Conversely, homes at Gedvydžių street 1, 6, 8, 17, 29, and 39 will be accessible from the Vėtrungių street side. These phased changes are intended to facilitate necessary infrastructure upgrades while maintaining necessary levels of access for residents.
