Two pedestrians were injured in an accident in Kaunas

The Kaunas County Police Department reported two separate traffic incidents that occurred in Kaunas on June 23, involving pedestrian crossings. The first incident took place at 10:51 a.m. on Baltic Street.

A vehicle operated by a woman, born in 1958, struck another woman who was crossing the designated pedestrian crossing. Following the collision, the injured woman was transported to the hospital for medical attention. Later the same day, at 1:30 p.m., a second accident was reported in Kaunas at Radvilėnų pl.

In this instance, a woman, born in 1958, driving a Nissan Qashqai, struck a pedestrian. The vehicle was reportedly reversing at the time of the collision, hitting a woman, born in 1949, who was crossing the pedestrian crossing. Due to the injuries sustained, this pedestrian was also taken to the hospital.

In both documented cases, the primary concern was the injury to the pedestrian. Authorities confirmed that preliminary investigations have been initiated to determine the full circumstances surrounding both vehicular accidents in the city of Kaunas. The police department continues to investigate the details of how the respective women operating the vehicles were involved in striking the other women crossing the streets.
