War in Ukraine. In Kyiv – another mass attack by Russia: reported dead and dozens injured

Romania has officially confirmed that a drone that struck a residential building near the border with Ukraine last week was of Russian origin. President Nicusor Dan stated that the drone, which entered the city of Galați last Friday, was identified as a Russian Geran 2 type. He further noted that the device was a Russian drone not registered within the X network.

This conclusion was reached following an “unambiguous expert report.”

The technical expertise reportedly indicates that responsibility for the incident rests solely with Moscow. The Romanian government has demanded that Russia immediately alter its tactics concerning attacks on Ukraine to prevent further endangerment of Romanian citizens. Bucharest has also called for security guarantees for its populace amidst ongoing attacks targeting Ukrainian ports.

Separately, as the military situation evolves, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has indicated an openness to negotiation, highlighting the roles of Europe and the United States in any potential talks. These developments regarding the drone and the border tensions underscore ongoing regional security concerns.
