When digging in the Vilnius construction site, what was left of a human being was found – work stopped, police took over investigation

Police authorities in Vilnius were involved in responding to two separate incidents involving significant discoveries on the morning of July 17th. The first incident occurred at a construction site located on Druja Street. According to reports, police were alerted around 8:03 a.m.

after the site manager reported the discovery of human bones during excavation work at the location. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the remains were found at the active building site. The bones have since been transferred to forensic experts for detailed examination to determine the circumstances surrounding their discovery.

Separately, police personnel also responded to an incident involving a deceased individual in Vilnius. Early that morning, authorities located a man’s body inside a vehicle situated near the entrance of a multi-story car park. Officers stopped the vehicle and confirmed the presence of the remains.

Investigations have been initiated into both incidents. Authorities are working to determine the cause of death for the individual found in the car. The discovery of the bones at the construction site remains a primary focus for forensic investigation.
