You can already apply: ESO accepts requests for compensation for losses

ESO has announced a structured approach to compensating residents affected by recent, prolonged power supply disruptions. According to ESO spokespersons, the company has established a compensation framework designed to address both immediate financial damages and delays in service restoration. The compensation package includes two distinct components.

Firstly, residents can receive compensation of up to 220 euros to cover verifiable direct losses incurred during the outage. Secondly, customers who experience power restoration beyond the set 72-hour deadline due to the storm will receive separate compensation for that delay. The company emphasized that these two forms of payment are independent; receiving one payment will not affect the calculation or amount of the other.

ESO spokesperson Rasa Juodkienė stated that the organization aims to simplify the entire compensation process due to the significant scale and duration of the power interruptions, acknowledging the real losses experienced by residents. She clarified that the direct loss compensation is an individual payment, applicable to all affected customers. Furthermore, the compensation related to exceeding the restoration deadline will be calculated automatically.

These measures represent ESO’s commitment to addressing the inconveniences and subsequent losses faced by the community. The company has indicated that the procedural complexity surrounding the compensation claims is being streamlined to ensure timely reimbursement for all impacted parties.
