Psychotherapist Dainius Jakučionis has offered insights and recommendations regarding the manifestation of stress during periods of leisure. While vacations are commonly anticipated as times of relaxation, they can sometimes be when underlying tension becomes most apparent. According to the Eurofarma-sponsored National Well-Being Index (NSI) study, stress impacts nearly 40% of the population, with relationship dynamics—whether within the family, a partnership, or a circle of friends—being the source of tension for one in three stressed individuals.
The study also highlighted several factors influencing overall well-being in Lithuania, including sleep quality, fatigue levels, physical health, anxiety, financial stability, personal relationships, and time constraints. In response to these findings, “Kelias į sveikatą” (The Way to Health) is a local health and wellness program dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle habits and providing informational resources for maintaining good health. Jakučionis’s advice covers preparatory measures, such as pre-trip homework, as well as strategies for managing stress when group members are fatigued.
These insights aim to help individuals navigate the emotional landscape of travel and leisure periods more effectively.
