On July 10, at approximately 5:27 p.m., the Kaunas Fire Brigade responded to an incident involving a diesel-powered MAN tractor on a dirt road in the forest, specifically on the Keryva-Seredžius road at the 17 km mark. Firefighters were alerted after the heavy machinery overturned in the area. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the tractor lying on its side, with wood material visible on it.
The driver was discovered conscious and managed to exit the vehicle, though he reportedly suffered from shock. Emergency medical personnel assessed the man at the scene and subsequently transported him to the hospital for further examination. Firefighters secured the site by disconnecting the tractor’s battery.
Following the rescue efforts, the police initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident, which took place on the unpaved rural road within the Jurbarkas district. The response highlighted the immediate efforts required to manage a large machinery accident in a remote forest setting. Authorities confirmed that the initial focus was on ensuring the safety of the injured individual before addressing the mechanical incident.
