Police authorities in Vilnius have launched an investigation following an assault that occurred in the early hours of the morning. According to the Police Department, the incident took place around 0.30 a.m. in the 21st street area of Vingiuoniskiai Gardens.
The victim, a woman, was found to be intoxicated, registering a blood alcohol level of 2.48 prom. She sustained injuries at her residence and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Three individuals were taken into custody and transported to the police station.
All three suspects were also reported to be intoxicated. The detained parties include a man who was born in 1978, with a measured level of 2.01 prom; a second man born in 1962, showing a reading of 1.87 prom; and a third man born in 1987, whose level was recorded at 2.83 prom. Police have confirmed that a formal investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding the assault.
Authorities are continuing to gather statements and evidence to process the case.
