After the audacious Russian lies – a stern reaction of V. Kondratyuk and the MFA

V. Kondratovičius stated to journalists at a government briefing on Wednesday that there were no deportations or any other work proceeding in that direction. However, he emphasized that monitoring the Kremlin’s information provocations is necessary, and that action must be prepared if required.

The acting head of the Internal Affairs Ministry (MVĮ) said that the situation involves a “very thin line that must be closely monitored and reacted to.”

The context for these remarks followed a tragic accident in Vilnius on Saturday, after which the father of the deceased boy provided details. Subsequently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania (MFA) responded, noting that statements from a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been distributed. The MFA asserted that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement regarding alleged planned actions by the Baltic States constituted “another Kremlin information attack.”
