He suggested that the leader should be the one to take responsibility, pending the findings of the ongoing investigation. According to the minister, the investigation currently underway is not intended to accuse or target any specific individual. Rather, its focus is on determining the rationale and parties responsible for the decisions made regarding public communication about an incident that took place near the end of July.
“Who will be held accountable will depend entirely on the results of the investigation,” Minister Katelyn clarified. “The objective is not to incriminate someone. The goal is to understand the process: why the communication was handled in a certain manner, why certain information failed to reach the public, and who made the decisions concluding that the information was not significant.”
The minister emphasized that the inquiry is fundamentally about systemic failures in communication and decision-making processes.
The investigation seeks to clarify the sequence of events and the decision-making chain that governed the release of information, ensuring that the underlying reasons for any perceived lack of transparency are thoroughly examined.
