Widespread failures of traffic signal lights have been reported across several major roadways in Lithuania. Affected areas include the A6 road between 10 and 25 kilometers, near Ramučiai, Karmėlava, Išorai, and Stašėnai. Additionally, outages have been noted on the A9 road in Radviliškis, the A11 road near Šiauliai, and the A140 road in the Kaunas district, close to Akademija.
Furthermore, sections of the A1 and A5 motorways are experiencing issues with their traffic lights. Authorities have immediately notified contractors regarding the necessary traffic regulation measures. The restoration process is varied; some locations require equipment reloading or depend on the restoration of electrical power.
In other instances, major repairs are necessary, suggesting that the complete functionality of the affected traffic lights may take an extended period. Due to these disruptions, managing the flow of traffic on the affected roads is a priority. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the disruption to determine where police presence will be required to effectively regulate traffic at key intersections.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and exercise caution when traveling on these routes due to the malfunctioning road infrastructure.
