Applications for renewable energy initiatives will continue to be administered by the Environmental Projects Management Agency (APVA). The current financial support structure for solar power systems offers two tiers of assistance. Standard support is provided at a rate of 170 euros per kilowatt (kW) of installed capacity.
An enhanced rate of 221 euros per kW is available for equipment that meets additional specified criteria. While the current support framework is designed for solar power plants with an installed capacity up to 7 kW, residents retain the flexibility to implement larger systems based on individual requirements. To qualify for the higher level of support, the installed equipment must satisfy two key conditions: first, its technology and components cannot originate from a third country—defined as a nation whose production share exceeds 50% of the European Union’s supply; and second, the efficiency of the solar module must surpass 23%.
Separately, R. Kaunas issued a warning regarding the increasing interconnection of security threats across both European and Asian regions. This advisory suggests a growing convergence of geopolitical risks that warrants attention.
The management of renewable energy incentives, therefore, continues to operate under these defined parameters, while broader international security concerns are highlighted as a separate area of focus.
