In the World Cup competition in Montreal, the racer A. Seja won bronze

The recent World Cup competition spanned multiple locations, including Szeged in Hungary and Brandenburg in Germany, culminating in the final stage in Montreal, Canada. This international event brought together 671 rafters and canoeists representing 64 nations. Across the competition, a total of 23 countries were awarded medals.

Lithuania featured prominently, with its team represented by four competing crews. Of these, three crews successfully advanced to the A final, which featured the top nine athletes. The nation’s medal tally was bolstered by the performance of Artūras Seja.

Seja secured a medal for Lithuania in the highly competitive 200m single-person canoeing final held in Montreal. In the race, Seja clocked a time of 35.85 seconds to claim the bronze medal. His performance placed him narrowly behind the winner, Marko Dragosavljević of Serbia, and Andrea Di Liberto of Italy, both of whom recorded the identical time, marking a margin of difference of just 0.07 seconds.

The results underscore the high level of international competition seen at this World Cup. Seja’s achievement highlights Lithuania’s strong presence on the global stage in the sport.
