Bitė reported that approximately 18,000 of its customers, representing about 4.2% of all private customers, were experiencing network issues, with more than 130 corporate communication towers affected.
Separately, Tele2 announced that connectivity had been restored to 97% of the Lithuanian territory as of Monday. Telia reported service limitations affecting about 5% of mobile communication stations and 4% of fixed line services. The severe weather event that occurred on Saturday resulted in significant outages, leaving over 268,000 residents without electricity.
The storm caused one fatality and injured four individuals, with specific areas like Kazlų Rūda and Antašava districts also being impacted. Emergency services responded extensively to the aftermath. Throughout the weekend, firefighters conducted 2,525 calls to extinguish fallen trees across Lithuania.
The highest number of responses was recorded in the Kaunas district (659 incidents), followed by Vilnius (387 incidents) and Utena (330 incidents). These figures reflect the ongoing efforts to manage the damage caused by the adverse weather conditions.
