“Maxima” announces changing the working hours of some stores

According to Erna Vareikytė, media relations head for “Maximas,” consumer shopping habits demonstrate clear seasonal variations. She noted that the warm and extended evenings characteristic of the summer months encourage residents to spend more time outdoors. This lifestyle shift results in certain consumer groups making spontaneous purchases of drinks and snacks at stores later into the evening.

Conversely, some segments of the population prefer to shop early in the morning before heading to the sea or lakes. Vareikytė stated that the extended operational hours implemented throughout the summer period were highly utilized by customers. However, as the rhythm of life returns to autumn, the pattern of customer flow changes significantly.

With the resumption of established routines, parents adjust to children’s daily schedules, and students adapt to the school timetable. Consequently, shopping becomes more organized and planned around work commitments, educational schedules, and extracurricular activities. In response to this shift in consumer behavior, changes are coming to the store operating times.

Beginning September 1st, the working hours at 37 “Maximas” locations will be adjusted to reflect the return to a more conventional daily rhythm.
