Survey data indicates that a significant portion of people prioritize sharing travel experiences with specific groups. According to recent findings, 53% of respondents prefer to take vacations with their partners, while 47% would choose to travel with their family. Furthermore, approximately one in three people indicated a preference for traveling with friends.
This reported preference aligns with data collected by a major travel agency. The agency’s statistics show that 40% of travelers opt for family trips, and 16% travel in groups exceeding four people. Inga Aukštuolytė, Head of Public Relations and Marketing at Tez Tour, noted that the desire to share travel impressions with important individuals is a key motivator for people.
She observed that following major life events, such as the conclusion of academic years or exams, travel with friends or family is common. Aukštuolytė also pointed out that organizing trips involving larger groups inherently requires managing and reconciling diverse expectations and habits among the participants. Overall, the data suggests that while the desire to explore remains strong, the composition of the travel party plays a defining role in the planning and experience of the trip itself.
These trends highlight the social aspect of travel for many people.
