The ceasefire between Iran and the US ignited new numbers on the gas station billboards: they announce how much the fuel has dropped

Average fuel prices in Lithuania showed notable decreases over the past week. The average diesel price at gas stations fell by 2.8% week-over-week, reaching 1.773 euros per liter. Similarly, the price of petrol decreased by 3.7%, settling at 1.688 euros per liter.

These local trends are reflected against global benchmarks. Over the week spanning June 22 to June 26, the Brent oil price averaged 75.2 dollars per barrel. This represents a 6.5% decline compared to the previous week’s average of 80.4 dollars per barrel.

For context, the average Brent oil price one year ago was 76.5 dollars per barrel, while the price recorded for the same period in 2024 stood at 85.1 dollars per barrel. In separate news, the head of LTG addressed the ongoing issue of discounted ticket refunds. While confirming that efforts to refund the tickets would continue, the official noted that the political impetus behind the refunds might be diminished.

These figures provide an overview of recent fluctuations in both domestic fuel pricing and international oil markets over the past week.
