There will be no place left for the familiar Lithuanian shopping center: the territory will change fundamentally

Demolition work has commenced on the closed shopping center in Fabijoniškės, a location familiar to its residents. This active demolition phase is anticipated to last for two to three weeks, after which construction of new structures will begin. The redevelopment plan allocates the first floor of the complex for various commercial and service spaces, alongside new cafes and restaurants.

A key element of the ongoing construction is the commitment to maintaining the existing sports club, which includes a swimming pool, throughout the renovation period. Following the reconstruction, the area is scheduled to feature a gallery that will operate twenty-four hours a day. This new gallery will replace the established passage that has historically served as a thoroughfare connecting the quarter to public transport stations.

According to a representative for the project developers, this renovation aims to significantly update the appearance of the quarter, an area that has remained largely unchanged for many years. The comprehensive overhaul is designed to modernize the entire place, enhancing the overall retail and public amenity experience within the shopping district. The developers anticipate that the finished area will represent a significant improvement to this well-known neighborhood.
