Survey results indicate that Lithuania continues to be the primary destination for long-term holidays for the majority of the population, accounting for 58%. However, this figure shows a notable decrease compared to the previous year’s data of 64% and represents the lowest level recorded over the last five years. Examining travel patterns over the last 12 months, from April 2025 to the corresponding month this year, 65% of the population reported traveling to Lithuania and staying overnight.
This metric reflects a decline of four percentage points from the previous year, dropping from 69% to 64%. Conversely, the percentage of non-travelers rose from 31% last year to 35% this year. Regarding general travel habits, over half of the respondents indicated that their travel frequency remains consistent with normal levels.
However, approximately one-fifth reported traveling less, citing financial constraints as the primary contributing factor. In separate international news, reports confirm that protests are currently taking place in Albania.
