Tragedy in Kėdainiai: Left-turning truck collided with motorcycle – young motorcyclist killed

On July 17th, at approximately 10:13 a.m., a traffic accident occurred in Akademijos village within the Kėdainiai district, near Parko street, along the Jonava-Kėdainiai-Šeduva road. The incident involved a semi-trailer truck and a motorcycle. According to initial reports, a sober male, born in 1987, was operating a Scania semi-trailer truck equipped with a Charnehl half-trailer.

The truck was traveling from the direction of Mantviliškis village. The sequence of events began when the truck driver initiated a left-hand turn. During this maneuver, the truck collided with an oncoming Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcycle was being operated by a second man, born in 2001, who was traveling from the opposite direction near Dotnuvos village. The collision resulted in serious injuries to the motorcyclist. Authorities were dispatched to the scene to manage the aftermath of the accident.

The incident highlights a collision caused by the truck’s movement executing a left turn while traversing the road connecting the two villages. Emergency services attended to the injured party following the impact.
