A new facility is currently under construction within the “Northway” development area of the “Bio City III” project, furthering the expansion of biotechnology infrastructure. This structure will be the second building in this complex, following the recent opening of a specialized biotechnology logistics center. To date, the “Northway” group has established two biotechnology production buildings within the “Bio City I” complex.
Furthermore, the “Bio City II” area already incorporates the gene therapy center, “Celltechna.” The investment allocated for the new center amounts to 61 million euros. Funding for this development is sourced from private capital and a loan provided by ILTE “Milijardas verslui.”
Stakeholders view this development as a significant contribution to the region’s technological advancement. The construction aims to create infrastructure that solidifies Lithuania’s standing as an international hub for high technology and innovation.
The ongoing development across the various “Bio City” components underscores a strategic commitment to bolstering the national bio-sector.
