VLK: don’t wait until September – take care of children’s oral health now

Annual preventive check-ups are emphasized for their role in the early detection of dental and other oral diseases. According to Jurgita Grigarienė, an adviser with the Service of Compensation of Services of the State Health Insurance Fund, early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes and mitigates the risk of developing more severe oral health complications. Separately, a change concerning the documentation of student health records is scheduled to take effect on November 1st.

This update affects the established validity period for student health certificates. Specifically, from this date onward, the stated validity period for certificates issued in certain circumstances may be less than one year. It is important for students to note the transition period.

For any health certificates issued prior to November 1st, they will maintain their existing validity period, remaining valid for one full year from the date of issuance. This adjustment requires attention to the updated guidelines to ensure continuity in receiving appropriate healthcare documentation. Maintaining up-to-date health records is crucial for monitoring overall well-being and ensuring proper coverage for necessary oral and general health screenings.
