Weather forecasters – about lightning changes in the weather: they warn which part of Lithuania will be hit by hail, hail and rain

Meteorologist Teresa Kaunas provided an outlook detailing the expected changes in the regional weather patterns for the coming days. On Friday night, the forecast indicated clear conditions for the eastern part of the country, with little cloud cover and no rain anticipated. Conversely, the western part of the country was expected to see increasing cloud buildup, accompanied by a chance of thunderstorms developing in the morning.

Near the coast, conditions were predicted to be cooler and rainy. Overall, the evening would feature moderate south and southeast winds, with temperatures fluctuating between warm and cool, reaching 15 to 20 degrees Celsius. The following day, Saturday, will see a contrasting cold atmospheric front moving across Lithuania, bringing significant changes to the weather.

According to Kaunas, many districts, beginning in the western regions, can expect periods of short rain accompanied by thunderstorms. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall and the potential for hail. Winds are forecast to blow from the southwest, strengthening to between 8 and 13 m/s.

During thunderstorm activity, squalls reaching 15 to 20 m/s are possible. Regarding temperatures, the highest daytime temperature is expected to range from 23 to 28 degrees Celsius, while coastal areas should anticipate temperatures closer to 20 to 22 degrees.
